Displaying Session Long Name In The Window Title

Issue

We have an application that requires the Session Long Name to display in the window title of our PASSPORT session. For example, SessionA. How can this be configured?

Solution

By default the Session Short Name is displayed along with the Session Profile Name and the Session Name:

 

Follow the steps below to configure the window title so that the Session Long Name appears at the beginning:

For PASSPORT PC to Host:

  1. Start a PASSPORT session.
  2. Choose the Options®Window Title menu command.
  3. Disable the Session Short Name option.
  4. Enable the Session Long Name option.
  5. Make any additional changes as necessary.

For PASSPORT Web to Host:

From the Client:

 

Instructions are the same as those for PASSPORT PC to Host

 

From the Administrator:

  1. Start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator program.
  2. Edit an existing or create a new Attribute profile.
  3. Choose Window Title.
  4. Disable the Session Short Name option.
  5. Enable the Session Long Name option.
  6. Make any additional changes as necessary.
  7. Click OK to save.
  8. Open the session profile that you would like to assign this attribute profile to.
  9. Select the Options tab.
  10. Locate and select the attribute profile name from the Attribute Profile list.
  11. Click OK to save or Connect to test.
