Issue

I get the following "Reject Request: GeteComesFile The Administrator client component you are using is a different version from the Administrator server component. Please correct this version mismatch to continue." error message when trying to start the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator application. What is the cause of this and how can I resolve it?

Solution

This message indicates that the currently downloaded ActiveX Administrator application on your workstation is older than the version of PASSPORT Web to Host that is installed on the server you are trying to access. This is usually caused when a shortcut or Internet Explorer Favorite is pointed to the administrator application.

By pointing directly to the Ecomes.zwm file on the server, the version checking is bypassed, thus causing a mismatch. To correct this situation, point the shortcut or favorite to Passman.htm, rather than Ecomes.zwm. This will cause the new version of the PASSPORT Web to Host Administrator application to download.
