Title

Screen Does Not Display Correctly After Using Switch to PASSPORT Utility

Product

PASSPORT PC to Host

Emulation Types

TN3270

Issue

I have an Attachmate session profile configured to use the Windows True Type Font: Lucida Console and would like to convert it over to PASSPORT format.  After using Switch to PASSPORT Utility to convert my Attachmate session profile, I noticed that the screen is not displayed correctly.  How can I resolve this issue?

Solution

Since PASSPORT PC to Host 2010-514 and older does not have full APL character support for Windows Fonts, any screen that contains APL characters will not be displayed correctly or may not even be displayed at all.  In order to to correct this issue for PASSPORT PC to Host version 2010-514, you will need to download the patch below which provides full APL character support. If you are running a version prior to 2010-514, then you will need to upgrade to version 2011-506 or higher for full APL character support.

Download the patch

How to apply the patch:

Copy the all the files to the directory where PASSPORT PC to Host is installed. The default directory is: C:\Program Files\PASSPORT\

Note: The screenshot below displays a "Z" logo (APL characters) whereas the screenshot above does not (no APL character support)
